Mayra is president of The Children’s Partnership, a national nonprofit organization working to ensure that all children have the resources and opportunities they need to grow up healthy and lead productive lives. Previously, Mayra served in several capacities at the US Department of Health and Human Services, most recently as director of the State Exchange Group at the Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight at CMS.
Mayra’s other HHS roles include work related to community health workers, language access, and linguistic and cultural competency. Prior to HHS, Mayra worked as a legislative assistant for several US senators, including Barack Obama. Mayra holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley and a master’s in public health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
